Another year complete...

This year has certainly been a rollercoaster for Zenith. We started 2022 at probably the lowest point we've been. #minecraft-chat would sometimes go days with the only messages being:

🛑 Server has stopped
✅ Server has started

Zenith 2 was far too ambitious and turned into an entirely different server. It didn't have many of the features that we wanted and we changed a lot of the existing ones. With Zenith's 2nd birthday on the horizon* it didn't feel worth celebrating.
Fun fact: The idea of renaming Zenith to Horizon was considered for Zenith Rekindled
That's when it was time to bring Zenith back in a way that it deserved. Removing all the bloat and bringing back our old spawn (with some improvements courtesy of Zenith 2). When Zenith Rekindled opened I honestly didn't expect much. Most of our playerbase had already left and it was going to be hard to compete with the original Zenith, a server that was opened during Covid where no one had anything else to do.

Plot twist: People seemed to like rekindled. The promo video was published and people were excited and we're now ending this year with a good amount of players.

We've had some fun events this year. Reopening with our Birthday, then Zpooky Hallows and now our current event, Winterveil, with many more planned for the upcoming year. We also managed to get a bit of an upgrade server wise to help performance!

I am personally looking forward to the new year as we have quite a few updates planned. One of which being our Minigame Update where we will be introducing a ton of new minigames as well as more maps for existing ones. As well as some behind the scenes stuff to help with performance.
